In line with the diversity of today’s pet dog breeds, scientists believe that the dog was formed by crossing several associated species from the dog family. Among them, Charles Darwin [36] and the ethologist of Austria, Konrad Lorenz, were the initiators of the theory of evolution, who concluded that the ancestors of the domestic dog were a wolf and a jackal [37]. Today’s established opinion, backed by the full total results of genetic analyzes, is certainly that the domestic dog developed from a small band of wolves, domesticated about 15,000 years ago.

It isn’t known exactly how the domesticated dog was held. It is possible that dogs were the ones who produced the initial step. Namely, if wild dogs began to be little enough to be unsafe, to visit human camps, they could collect waste materials and discarded bones. Thus, people tolerated them because they were cleaning their surroundings probably. It’s possible that they have begun to fascinate, approach them, and then domesticize them as safeguard canines and companions. It had been only when agriculture was progressing that the herds could be preserved. Or otherwise: the canines followed a smarter line in the wish to getting anything from prey.
