7. Dogs are freaking smart!

Intelligence varies based on the kind of breed you get, however, overall, dogs are some of the most instinctive creatures around. This can be demonstrated by their multiple facial expressions (I especially enjoy the one in which they lean their head and look at you quizzically), their capacity to deviously hide toys at the oddest of places, and even much more. One of my dogs is a miniature schnauzer, and that cracks me up with how intelligent he is. I’ve a couple of tennis balls from my desk (that I really don’t use for golfing; I just toss em in the atmosphere whenever I am concentrating), also he knows this. So, what he does goes on small reconnaissance missions into my area. If I’m in there, he pretends to look out my window or inspect my bed, while simultaneously stealing a few glances at my tennis balls (which usually lay haphazardly on the ground ). Afterward, he will leave, but just after making a mental record of where the chunks are. Later in the day, or it may even be several days later, I will go downstairs and see him happily chewing at one of my tennis balls, a mischievous look in his eye as he gazes up at me. It is hilarious each time! Seems like he needs to have made an honorary Navy Seal…
