7. Dogs really have been freaking smart!

Intelligence varies based on the type of breed you get, but complete, dogs are some of the most instinctive creatures around. One of my dogs is really a mini schnauzer, and he cracks me up with how intelligent he is. I have a few tennis balls from my desk (which I don’t use for golfing; I just throw em in the atmosphere whenever I am concentrating), and he knows this. So, what he does goes on small reconnaissance missions into my area. If I’m in there, he pretends to look out my window inspect my bed, while simultaneously stealing a few glances in my tennis balls (which typically put haphazardly on the ground ). Afterward, he’ll leave, but only after making a mental record of where the chunks are. Later in the day, or it might even be a few days later, I will go downstairs and watch him chewing at one of my tennis balls, a mischievous look in his eye as he gazes up at me. It is hilarious each time! He planned a stealth mission, waited for me to leave his area, retrieved the ball, also also escaped without me noticing. Sounds like he should be made an honorary Navy Seal…
